That was excellent, Rob. I could add so much more to those memories. The terrible bush fires in 1958 when we threw our few things in the car and the dog, Babyface with her puppies on top of the load, as we were ready to leave. The fire brigade arrived just as the fire was about to consume our wood heap. Michael and I climbing a huge pine tree beside the railway line so we could watch the cars as they went through Braemar in the Redex Trial. Mrs Mitchell’s shop. The school bus called Bomb blowup. So many memories of life in Braemar and going to school in Mittagong and Bowral. Chilblains in winter walking to the bus on the frosty ground with holes in my shoes. The Moss Vale show in 1958 when Dad bought a new car. The RSL when he was manager, and so it goes.
